- Going down Kaiwi Street, take the third left on
to Pawai Place. - Look for the third building on the left-hand side
(cream color with blue stripe). Our entrance is
at the front of the building. - Blue door with three signs above the entrance
(top left sign PFI) - come on in. - Parking is on either side of the street.

| ABOUT PFI RUBBISH SERVICE Owner Bob Platt began hauling trash in 1979 when someone needed help getting rid of their refuse, using a Volvo station wagon with the inside lined in plastic. In 1981 he bought his first truck and began servicing customers in the Kailua-Kona, Holualoa, Kealakekua and Keauhou areas under the name PFI Rubbish Service Inc. In December 1991, rubbish service was then expanded to include Waimea and Waikoloa. During the 1990s, PFI offered a comprehensive curbside recycling service, but this program was cancelled, pending stabilization of the County Recycling Program. Today PFI Rubbish employs nine drivers, two office staff and has a fleet of twelve garbage trucks . With a customer base of over 4,000 customers, PFI's distinctive blue trucks can be seen from Kohala Ranch to Middle Keei Road six days a week, including holidays! |
